Quackery: A Brief History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything by Lydia Kang

This book is a trip. I love non-fiction books with little mini stories inside that make it easy to pick up and put down. This is a fun quirky little book that is a demonstration of all the crazy ways we tried to heal ourselves without history. Crazy snake oil cures to leeches and everything in between. I loved learning about all the crazy “cure alls” that people tried. It really gives you an appreciation for modern medicine and thankful that amputation is no longer a race against the clock as a show.
