Truly A Totally Killer Movie.

We watched the new Amazon Prime horror movie Totally Killer. Happy Death Day meets Back to the Future is the easiest way to describe what awaits those who should do the right thing and watch.

Starring Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) as Jamie Hughes (an obvious nod the John Hughes, the king of 80’s movies), the movie has you join her on a time travel mission to save her mom from a serial killer that resurfaces after 35 years to finish what they started. The supporting cast held themselves up pretty well. The mean girls were mean, the jocks were dumb. Julie Bowen is always a treat in anything.

The scares in this one were light. The twist was good, and the kills were not bad. Overall, it did what it set out to do, be a campy throwback to the 80’s with a killer twist. The call backs to Back to the Future were fun and the acknowledgements to how little time travel movies make sense was fun as well.
