We all Need Some Cursed Friends
We are still not sure how she found this movie. Through Letterboxd, Facebook, TikTok, or it just appeared out of thin air onto our TV. It plays out like a fever dream for me particularly because if I were to fan cast a movie, it would have 90% of this cast in it.
Cursed Friends follows the “Core 3” and one brother of the main character. While trick r treating as N’Sync they come across a spooky house and are giving a M.A.S.H book to play with. The book may or may not be haunted. Obviously, they read the book.
Flashforward to years later, the friends are spread out but still maintain that text group that all friend groups have. Throughout the film you get the sense that not everyone is happy in the group. Times change, and so do people. I feel that’s the main theme of the film.
Horror wise, it’s not the scariest film at all. It’s a made for tv movie by Comedy Central. It was never made to be terrifying.
If you love Harvey Guillen, Nikki Glaser, Will Arnett, and Rob Riggle then this film is for you.
We give this one 4 1/2 M.A.S.H books out of 5.
