Terrifier (2016).
By Rob.
Sometimes there comes along a movie that is so cheesy and so B that you have to absolutely love it. It becomes a cultural icon. You can go to almost any convention and find merchandise for the movie. Terrifier, released in 2006, was that movie for this generation.
Art the Clown is such a simply designed character. There’s nothing inherently special about his look. I get it, ah its a clown, but in all respects he’s not menacing. Sure he’s got some dental problems. I would think that Satan would have a better health insurance plan.
Something amazing happens when Art gets his feelings hurt though. He can change the entire look of his character with a frown. The pure malice that clicks on when he frowns is amazing. That’s the backbone of this character for me. The acting that goes into it. David Howard Thorton as Art the Clown will go down in history as one of the best horror performances of our generation.
At the time of this writing you can currently watch it with ads on Vudu and Tubi.
Review - Get terrified and giddy as you watch the splatterfest that is a true work of Art.
